This active weekend yoga retreat will give you a chance to recharge your batteries while discovering or deepening your yoga practice. It is also a chance to take valuable time off. A weekend yoga retreat offers you a long weekend in the fresh air with moderate hiking trips in beautiful Norway.
The retreat starts every week on Friday from mid-May until mid-June and in August.
On arrival day we have a welcome dinner all together and a small tour in Molde, the city of roses.
We start the next day with energizing and body-opening yoga class. This is followed by a rich breakfast buffet and a long day outdoors. We enjoy the beauty of nature, the depths of forests and fjords, and enjoy the silence and meditation on a high mountain top. Yin and restorative yoga class in the evening helps to recover the tired body. A rich and healthy vegetarian dinner will restore your energy reserves. You will sleep like a baby and the next day you are ready for your next adventure.

Molde is a city and municipality in Romsdal, in Møre and Romsdal county, Norway. It is a small town by the Moldefjord with a population of 26822. Molde is a very calm and relaxing city, famous for its amazing views. It is surrounded by fjords and close to several remarkable hiking trails and viewpoints. Book your flight to Molde, Årø airport.
We will pick you up from the Molde airport during the day, but it is best to arrive on the 16.45 or 17.00 flight from Oslo. It is not a problem when you arrive earlier on that day or by bus or ferry. Transfer from the airport or bus station is included in the price.
You will start the days with pranayama and vinyasa flow yoga. After yoga, it is time to enjoy breakfast and prepare yourself for hiking. Every day is slightly different. You will have some shorter and some longer hikes, 5-8 km, about 500-700 m.a.s.l. with amazing views. During the hikes, you will find cozy places to rest and refuel, while enjoying the lunch package. Yin and/or restorative yoga after hikes helps you to stretch your muscles and recover after hikes.
Delicious and fresh seafood bought from local fishermen and organic salads and vegetables will be prepared for dinner. You will treat yourself with freshly squeezed juices and raw chocolate that will be made together on spot. The daily yoga you do during the retreat provides a good start for the day and helps you regenerate from the physical challenges of the hikes.
This helps you stay fit and will make you return home completely relaxed after your hiking and yoga holiday. After this week, you will have experienced fantastic hiking trails, improved your yoga skills, and met like-minded people. You will take lots of good memories with you and return home looking forward to your next trip.

The hotel is located in the city center and the comfortable but simple rooms include a private bathroom, shower, toiletries, and free wireless internet. Dinners are made by our chef, using local vegetables and/or fresh Norwegian seafood. Healthy desserts like banana bread, fruit salads, raw chocolate, or bliss balls are served after dinner. You can treat yourself with freshly squeezed juices and raw chocolate that will be made together on spot. During or after dinner we will have some discussions about the essence of yoga and the eight limbs of yoga. The retreat price doesn't include dinners. We collect 150 NOK for dinner, 450 NOK for 3 dinners for participants. It gives you the freedom to dine in the restaurant if you want.

Yoga is for everyone. You do not need to be very experienced in it, but if you are, good for you! The morning yoga will be a traditional Hatha yoga class. I always give you easy options and more advanced ones. The pace of the class depends on the group level. There are almost always some beginners and some more experienced practitioners together on the retreat and it is a good thing since then we can learn from each other. The Morning yoga class is usually 75 minutes with pranayama and relaxation.
Please be aware that it is a very active holiday. If you need a more relaxing holiday, you are still welcome to participate, but we strongly recommend you skip some hiking trips and yoga classes. To walk in the mountains every day for 5 days is physically demanding, even if we are walking slowly and only around 500 m.a.s.l. If you have some injuries or knee problems, please take your walking sticks with you. The most important things are good walking shoes, a positive mind, and the ability to listen to your own body.
The weather in Norway may change rapidly. If it is raining heavily there is an option to spend a day in a local water park Moldebadet, visit the museum or have a raw chocolate workshop.
